This could be an issue with most, seeing as there are other options that do not have as many requirements as in this case. It needs a companion app installed on your desktop, though. Still, provided you don't deal with YouTube, the extension does its job very well. Its functional interface will only confirm that it was thought of as a tool or a function in itself and not really a pleasant-looking add-on. The extension is not really something that will surprise you. With that said, it's likely you'll lose interest in this piece of software, although it's just another victim of the said restrictions. Be careful though, as Chrome's new policies will not allow any such add-on to grab videos from YouTube. It offers all Chrome users a way to easily download and convert online media. I often use this to download YouTube/NicoNicoDouga(ニコニコ動画) videos, and sometimes random web videos (it scans all net activity, so it can download basically any media file that is being streamed to your computer).Video DownloadHelper for Chrome is an extension with a pretty clear purpose. It also works on YouTube, and just about any other site that has video/any type of potentially downloadable media. It basically scans net activity for any downloadable media files, and lists them in a dropdown when clicked. Is there anything like it? It's not one of those "download manager/accelerators," but rather a media file downloader. And it's one of my most-often used ones, too. I've recently switched to Chrome, and all my Firefox plugins are available on Chrome.Īll except one. Is there a Chrome extension with functionality similar to that of DownloadHelper for Firefox? (not a "download manager/accelerator")
